How recipe scaling works
To halve a measurement divide it by 2. To double it multiply by 2.
Enter a fraction such as 3/4 or a mixed number such as 1 1/2. A decimal such as 0.75 also works.
Tablespoons use 1 cup as 16 tablespoons and 1 tablespoon as 3 teaspoons. Milliliters use the US cup.
Example
A pancake recipe that makes 12 calls for 3/4 cup of milk.
For 6 pancakes use 3/8 cup, which is 6 tablespoons. For 24 pancakes use 1 1/2 cups, which is 24 tablespoons.
